I emailed my primary to ask if there was another hospital that I could be referred to. I received a call early this morning from the referring coordinator. She said that she call the surgery center herself, because she had never hear of their provider refusing a patient based on bloodless surgery. They assured her that they had done the surgery bloodless several times before and they would be very respectful of my wishes. I explained that I spoke to both of the surgeons myself and what they said. They said that not to worry, that it is on a case by case basis and as long as I qualify for the program I will get the surgery, if i still want it.

Im glad they are working with you on this. I will admit im kinda dense to all of this. Are you not allowed to give your own blood ahead of time in case you need it? That way you will have your own going back in if necessary?

Oh I should of explained, for religious reasons I do not accept whole blood of any kind. It's not a issue of getting a disease, though it does protects me from that
