I started my liquid diet today , the doc said two meals a day two weeks before surgrey. So i am drinking two caranation drinks and this mourning i was fine, it was more a mind thing not eating real food then a body hunger one, then this afternoon i had another one for lunch and it messed my stomach up bad. I have been in and out of the bathroom for a hour. Is this normal. Two weeks of this .ahhhhhhhh i already have dumping from losing my g-bladder and thia is dumping why would the carantion cause this?

what else can you have besides carnation i had to drink protein drinks for two weeks and then ameal for dinner

The first few days are toughest, it will get easier once you get past the third day.

Everytime I drink my protein shake I feel like I'm gonna barf . I got lactose free thinkin that was it but it wasn't .Any sugestions ?

How fast are you drinking it? Warm, cold or room temp?

I'm drinking it cold. I guess kinda fast .Does it bother u ??

My pouch did not like cold drinks the first two weeks and still occasionally doesn't. I would try smaller sips and maybe slightly less cold (room temp is blech!). Definitely slow down.
