|  Im APPROVED FINALLY!!!
Hey- it was a long haul, but im finally approved for surgery! Never thought this day would come, especially when it took my surgeon's office a month to get my paperwork faxed over to the insurance company! Feb. 4th is the day & I have a pre-op class on the 20th . I better be down 10 lbs because my surgeon said I had to loose 10 lbs before surgery. Im pretty sure ive done it..but even if im not down 10 lbs on 1/20, that still leaves me 2wks to loose whatever else I will need to loose for the surgery. I just feel so relieved right now, it's hard getting to this point, but im looking forward to what's ahead. Im really nervous about the surgery itself, so if any of you could ease my mind, I would appreciate it! Im not having second thoughts, just need some reassurance..surgery is kind of scarry!  My son will be home from Iraq during this time, so im really thankfull for that as well

Congratulations on getting approved! I just about did a jig down the hall the day I found out. My hubby was in Iraq at the time. He came home and I had my surgery last Friday. It has all happened so fast from going in to coming home and it's really not nearly as bad as I had ancitipated. Hang in there, hon. I'll be sending lots of good thoughts your way.

Congratulations!!! I know you were concerned because it was taking so long with the paperwork.
Oregonseashell is right... it's not as bad as we build it up in our minds as being. I'm 6 weeks out today and it seems like a dream. I was in and out of the hospital before I knew it and my recovery has been a breeze. You'll do fine. So glad your son is home.. one less worry for you and someone else to wait on you hand and foot.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the well wishes! I saw my cardio Dr today & was cleared for surgery. I had a rapid heart rate episode again here recently so my surgeon wanted to clear that before she does the surgery & all went really well. While I was at it, I jumped on her scale & im down 13 lbs! yay!! I only had to loose 10 for the surgery, so im so relieved that I exceeded my goal before my weigh-in next Tuesday. Spent 30 minutes looking for my car in the Dr's parking lot between Dr visits & felt like an idiot when I had to get security to help me find my car! Geezzzz im getting old!! They did say that nearly every day someone looses their car because of the way the parking lot is designed, so they made me feel a little better..still feel like an old lady! Crazy day! Thanks again for all your support..it means a lot. This forum is great for that.
