Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

With what you've lost so far, you at least need to get fitted again for a mask. Your face has changed shape and the old one isn't fitting well anymore.

I used a CPAP for 5 years. Six months or so after surgery, I started fighting with my mask. It wasn't fitting and it cut into my nose (still have that scar!) I tried a few other masks, and finally my wife told me that she didn't think I needed it anymore. I was pretty close to goal anyway, so eventually I gave in and tried it without for a night. Haven't used it since!

Ideally, you should have another sleep study. You may not yet be to the point you can give it up, but I'll bet your pressure needs adjusting since you don't have as much weight pressing down on your airways.

My pulmonologist said after losing 40 pounds I wouldn't need one anymore. But I suspect the best way to know is to have another sleep study. I think that is what the dr. will say.
Dry mouth- means you are sleeping with your mouth open that is why you need a chin strap. The other option could be a full mask that covers your mouth as well.
Either your doc or the company selling you the cpap can give you all the details.
Good luck.

It's best to have a sleep test done and make sure you don't need it.

You really should stay on the CPAP for awhile longer until you've lost more weight. I get dry mouth every night. I take a glass of water to bead with me and wake up in the middle of the night to drink. It's probably not your CPAP, it's that you aren't drinking enough water.
