Angry OMG Further Irritation, talk about making you feel bad

My PCP's office was suppossed to fax their letter over, but when I called I got the answering service. I figure no problem, I will call the surgeons office and ask. What a big mistake. The girl asks what the fax is so I tell her, and tell her I will have 2 more tomorrow. I also asked how long it takes to put the file together to send to insurance. She told me 1 week I thought not too bad. So I tell her when the letters are faxed tomorrow I am going to ask the file to be submitted. She said those letters won't make any difference. You did not lose the weight they ask for. Duh I can read the insurance company requirements. They don't say anything about a certain weight must be lost. Then I told her last month I did not eat much thats how I lost what I did. She says can't you have SF jello, or broth, with the SF popsicles. Oh I am so mad, upset, and ready to spit nails. She really made me feel like I will not get approved so why bother. I am still going to have them submit, and will appeal if I get denied until I can't appeal anymore. Then if I can't get approved I guess it wasn't meant to be. Thanks for letting me vent.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Default Left feeling like a failure

Thanks Boots! You know that nurse left me feeling like such a failure. I asked my hubby why would she talk to me like that? I am a nice person, and I don't cause anyone problems. He said they are probably used to seeing obese people and hearing their excuses as why they did not lose. Wether they are true or not, he said they most likely don't believe you if you can't lose. That they figure you are eating as usual. My hubby knows how I eat, and being on the Gluten Free diet it has been less and less. I just want to cry. He says screw them just tell them to submit, and when I get to see the surgeon again to let him know how they treated me.

Definitely let the surgeon know how you were treated - I don't care if they are a Nurse, Dr or office staff a certain amount of respect is owed any client! You hang in there and don't let anyone elses opinions be more important than your own.

Hang in there! Just remember that the person who answered the phone at the Dr's office is not the insurance company. Keep pressing on.

Awww(((((HUGS)))))
And, yes, let the surgeon know. If the staff is not compassionate to the patients, it isn't right.
