Two options.
1. Go to the advanced mode for posting, and below the post box, you will see a button that says, attachments. Open that, and upload from your computer. In this case, you will see only the links in you post, so, the links will have to be opened to see the photos. If you use this option, be sure to edit your photo and bring the size down because if it's too large, you will not be able to put it up.
2. Upload your photos in a web photo server, such as
Free Image and Video Hosting - Photo Image Hosting Site : Photobucket.com, then link the photo into the post, by clicking open the button in the tool bar of the post box with the pic of the mountains. This method will enable you to show the pic directly in the post.
3. If you are talking about avatars, go to your UserCP, then to Edit Avatar. Follow the instructions there, and you will be able to upload your avatar. Remember to scale down your pic to 80x80 pixels for your avatar.
