Default Chinese Food

I have a question. My family (husband and 3 kids ages 9,12,15) get take out chinese about once every 2 weeks. What is an o.k. dish to order for a WLS person to eat? I know egg drop soup is ok since it was on my plan since the liquid stage. What else do you guys order that agrees with you and that doesn't blow the whole day's worth of calories?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i cant eat any of it due to the grease. some people sump off sugar, some people dump off grease.....i of course am the grease dumper. stay away from the rice. you should be able to handle anything steamed. i would be a little leary of the stuff in sauce because you never really know whats in it. no noodles either. DONT DO IT!!!! isnt eating out fun??

I havnt tried to eat this type of food since surgery. I always retain alot of fluid from it meaning the sodium content I suppose. But I love it thou. Like the ladies said steamed veggies and the shimp if they grilled it or steamed it. Now you got me wanting a crab ragoon! LOL.

I love chinese...but don't get it very often. When I do I have the chicken & broccoli. It usually does not have much sauce and the chicken is poached and very soft.

Well, dinner is over and I made it through with no problems. I had the inside of about 3 steamed dumplings and the outside of one. I did not have any rice, noodles or fried foods. I also had about 5 spoonfuls of egg drop soup and then I actually felt full! Although it was hard to watch the rest of my family enjoy all of my favorite Chinese food I felt it went very well. Thanks everyone for your advice. Now, what do you guys eat at a mexican restaurant?!?!? ..........the list goes on!

OOOO I had my first Mexican meal tonight!! I was soooo yummy! It was chili con carne- it is pork in hatch red chili. So good- and I had a little cheese enchilada and beans too.

I have tried hunan chicken and I always ask for no MSG. I don't eat the rice either. I just eat the chicken and veggies. I find that since I am not eating rice I don't eat as much of the sauce which helps with the sodium. Hunan Chicken was something that was very low in points when I did Weight Watchers.
