Default loved what did you eat today thread

As a newbie really enjoyed the thread I read about what each of you ate for a day. I would also like to know what some of you ate who are on soft diet, and liquid diets. Give us newbie an idea for these great days when our turn comes. I feel right now that eating out is going to require a lot of planning. I love to cook and menu plan ahead so that know what I am going to eat and not leave it to head hunger. Did any of you order meals sent to you and if so where? Did you think that was simpler for early post op?Sugamom

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Just don't buy too much before hand! Your tastes will change and even 1 can of soup woud last me forever.

Check w/ your surgeon, but here's what was allowed on my pureed food (after 3 weeks of liquids)

Sugar Free (SF) jello
SF yogurt
SF pudding
malt o meal
grits
tuna w/ mayo
canned chicken w/ mayo
cottage cheese
refried beans
sliced thin deli meats like turkey and chicken
soft cheeses
mashed potatoes
creamed soups
SF popsicles
any veggie that could be mashed into baby food consistency (green beans, peas, carrots) The canned were the easiest to do this.

I pretty much lived on cheese and refried beans!

Thank you for your input.
Dawn I am so impressed by what you have lost in such a short time just a year. Wish I like refried beans but they do not even like me. With all the things that should go away after the surgery may be my allergies, dairy food, wheat, eggs, and spicy foods will go also. Once my stomach heals up enough for other things will be o.k. as am doing real well right now. Like I said in my blog, stomach if you need to not like something: make it sweet rolls, blueberry pie, and ice cream. Sugamom
