It's official...it was one year ago today that I made the life-changing decision, checked into the hospital and CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!
I had surgery one year ago today...I'm officially down 134 pounds. I feel fantastic. I still work out....I drink nearly a gallon of water every day, I push my proteins, veggies 2nd, and carbs if there's room (there never is!!)
I take my vitamins EVERY day, my labs are stellar, and my blood pressure is normal. My cholesterol is in NORMAL range, and I would do this again in a heart beat!
For anyone who is contemplating surgery or just had surgery....STAY after it! This works....there are ups/downs, but it's all worth it in the end. Follow your surgeon's orders and stick to the plan....it doesn't have any choice but to work!!!
First pic was taken Tuesday, 07.29.08.....146 pounds.....
2nd pic was day before surgery 07.31.08 at 280 pounds......

Way to go Kath and happy annivesary. I agree with everything you said, yes there are some ups and downs to this journey but I too would do it again in a heartbeat. It has been the best thing I could have done for myself and my family.
