Pics take some practice.
Gloves on...taking some evidence in?
Too bad you aren't in uniform now.
But you look much greater now than then. May your journey go well.

I started in the Solid Waste industy in Miami where I was born and raised. I was moved to Ga by another company when the company I worked for was bought out by a larger company. When I moved to Ga the deal fell apart and I got into law enforcement. I got tired of always needing to work football games and extra duty to make ends meet as a cop. The $$$ is in garbage (Mob money) (Just Kidding). I took a supervisor position with a city in Northeast Ga and stayed part-time as a cop because I loved the action. When My daughter was less than 6 months old, My friend was shot and killed in the line of duty. I worked a couple more weekends and got out for good. Life just had a different meaning to me after my daughter was born. (she is why I had the surgery) I am now the Superintendent of a much larger city that is much closer to home and make double what I made as a cop. I still miss it . My old Chief still sends e-mails wanting me to come back. I rode a motorcycle for the Police department and they have not filled that spot in over a year. I think about it pretty offen. I dont mind doing parades and special events on the bike, but I dont want to work traffic anymore. Thats the long version. I am still a cop on paper. I maintain my certification.

| Ahhhhh..... ....Now I get the "TRASH MAN" handle. That was gonna be my next question....LOL Good for you!!! (and your family) That you are safe and sound...and now that you've had WLS....even better for your life and the life of your family! You really have started over.... I too had my "wake-up" call when I became a mother. Having a child really does put a huge emphasis on what you are doing for your child and their future. I just couldn't see that my daughter was having a full experience with a Mommy that couldn't do everything other Mommies could do. I also had a scare where I couldn't get to her fast enough...and it scared me right into my surgeons office.... Thank God for our children...in more ways than one!! |

I can understand where you are coming from, but would also like to thank you for your time as a cop and the service you gave us by being one. I think it is good that you are keeping up your certification and am sure that your wife won't mind you getting a new uniform, even if part time when you are down a bit more...lol. I told my hubby when he joined military to try for firefighting so he would have 3 uniforms to look sexy in.
