Aw..You were gorgeous even then!!! I know what you mean, I look at my old pics and think how on earth did my hubby even look at me?? I didn't realize how far I've came until the pics came out. Don't be so hard on yourself!! Now you're beautiful inside and out.
Don't be so hard on yourself. You were beautiful then and are now. Your should change your screen name to wowgirl or notchubbyanymore LOL I can relate to how you feel though. When I look in the mirror I think gee I'm fat but when I see pics of myself OMG it really is true that the camera adds 10 lbs. In my case I think it adds about 80. No really I think OMG how could you do this to yourself and why didn't you see it coming and do something long before now. On a lighter note though I'll be having surgery in March or April so I'll be losing also. I can't wait to look back on pics and think who is that ? You're a beautiful women and never forget that.

Hey whizzers mom....I could have wrote what you did. I had my surgery one year ago...I was 270 lbs and a size 26. Today i am 128lbs and a size 2! I havent been a size 2 since I was 2! Like you, I didnt realize how big I was. I would look in a mirror as I got ready for work...hair done...make up done...and I would think "you dont look to bad". Then I would see a picture and I would think "oh my god!!!! I am huge!!! I wouldnt want that woman sitting on my furniture!" That said...now my body image is reversed. I dont think I am thin...5'4 and 128lbs is thin. Yet in the mirror..naked? I see the remnants of "fat Robin". I just dont feel thin...not in an anorexic way mind you...I am told it takes a while for our minds to catch up with our new bodies. After a lifetime (I will be 46 next month) of being fat...its hard to stop thinnking that you are when the weight melts off so fast. Now...when I see a pic? Thats when I say "oh my god...your skinnny!" Funny how we dont see what others see until we look at a picture. I would be curious to know how many others here feel the same way. How many of you dont realize how much weight you have lost until you see a picture? FYI....I like to have my pic taken now!
