hello everyone well i seem to cant get good blood work i have never had it good all the way it have always been something low, so they wanted more blood work done on me in dec but i didn't do it until jan cause i wanted to make sure it was good this time, i got a call from the office saying to come in and get this stripe for a stool sample? what i never had to do no such thing she said my red blood cell and some other cells are low and it sounds like i am a nemic i hope i spelled it right that explains why i stay so cold all day long but i thought it was from losing so much weight not cause i have anemia. not to mention i just started taking this heart pill cause the heart doctor said my heart only pump 44 when normal is 50 and up, i'm not scared cause i no nothing is wrong with my heart and never was but i will do as they tell me to prove to him my heart is find i feel my weight played a big big part in that and it was holding to much weight over the years along with high bp i never seen to, but he put me on lisinopril now he put me on something else since my last test this month showed still not up to 50 yet so now i take coreg cr, taking this have stopped my working out i don't like the side effects i read i'm waiting for 2 weeks to pass because it have had me very weak and alot of other thing nothing to bad i can't handle but after two weeks if i haven't got better i will have to call the doctor and change to something different for days i been light headed i'm scared to drive feeling like this. so i been missing the gym, weight gain, incease in eating, boy this dont sound good i don't need those side effects, if the light headed feeling and the fatigue {sp} could go away i think i will be fine still waiting for my 2 week then as they say my body will be ok fingers crossed, another side effect was no exericise? now this is way to much i can't stop that i need that in my life. sorry so long i like to add the pills i take aday 2 cal+d, 2 vit d, 2 flinstone vit, b12, iron, vit c, 1 pervcid, 1 biotin, now the two pills i mention above i hope i didn't leave anything else and i do take all of them a day i'm faithful when it comes to my pills because i wanted good lab work for once. but i will not give up i will make it that's a promise.take care and have a bless day rr family.

ask them to do a minerals? test too...the bariatric hospital I went to last year says that the most common cause now of pernicious anemia post op is low copper...

having dealt with long term pernicious anemia and doing the iron, etc...and no changes that was really interesting!

You need to have labs run for the minor minerals--things we need only in very low amounts but need, nonetheless. You may easily be low on these because of the limited amount you eat post op.
