Default Update 6 1/2 years later, and I am still doing great!

I posted this in my old before and after thread and was asked to make it a new thread so that more people could see this, so here it is ......

This is my before pictures.............

Before 325 lbs

Me now 115 lbs!

Hi everyone it is me again. I am now 6+ years out and still at "goal", it is a lot of work but so worth it. I have been trying to let my gray hair grow out, so I have been in hiding. I thought I would add some more pictures to let everyone know how I am doing!

I am still debating coloring it or just cutting it, for the most part I am a ponytail kind of girl, but I have been coloring my hair for YEARS and I really wanted to see what it would look like. And I kind of like it, but people tell me that I look younger with it brown. I could really care less about that, but I just want to look nice!

This is me and our youngest son, he was 1 when I had my WLS.

This is our newest family member, she is 10 months old, but still does not weigh 2 lbs. She loves to go to work with mommy!

This is her after work, she sleeps all the way home!

So her I am 6+ years later and I have had more than personal crisis and still managed to maintain my weight loss, which for me is a miracle, food has always been my best friend. I could always lose, but never ever maintain. I can't say that it has been easy, but it has been worth all the hard work.

I have had some weight creep back on, but as soon as my jeans start feeling too tight, I am back to the basics. I will never ever wear clothes that grow with me ever again, now I feel every single pound as it comes on or off.

Feel free to ask any questions, I love to help!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You look awesome! Is there any way you can tell how your insurance helped with the lift you said you had in another thread? I am really concerned that I will have a whole lot of loose skin. I have a lot as it is and that is from my babies but that was 3 years ago since my youngest was born. I have a feeling that skin will be my biggest problem with being able to fit into smaller clothes.

I talk with my primary care dr tomorrow to see how she feels about everything before moving forward. My husband and I have been talking about WLS for years now, but I am just so fed up I really think now is the time. I just don't know how long the process will take before being able to get a date. We will see. Dealing wiht insurance is a pain, but better than paying for it all on our own.

Hazel you still look amazing, you are truely an inspiration. I know what you mean about never growing with your clothes again, thats exactly how I am now, I judge my weight by my jeans fit rather then the scale anymore. It has been a hard road but a road you are succeeding down, thank you for your continued inspiration and congrats on your success

mine out since I had surgery 2.5 years ago. Taking some time but its getting there.

You look FABULOUS.
