Gail, you know how we encourage folks to take "Before" pictures? She had just decided she would look into WLS for herself, but she was mad at me for making her stand in front of the camera. Now she's glad I did, because it makes the "After" look so much better!!
We sent these two pictures to her family and blew them away!! They knew she was "large", but had no idea just
HOW large, even though we had spent time with them within a couple of weeks of the first picture. Now she's smaller than her little sister (the one who was always so careful about what she ate and how good she looked!) Peanut's also smaller than her mother now by a pretty good amount (no one will ever know for sure how much, but for her to even mention it, it has to be quite a bit!!)
And this morning she'd dropped another pound, for a total of two gone in the last seven days. She doesn't know when it's going to stop, but she's not complaining. Her mother told her
NOT to lose any more, and Peanut told her that she was basically a passenger on this ride now. She is well past her cautious hopes for weight loss, even past her realistic expectations, and is now entering the realm of dreams of how much she could lose in a perfect world. Her dream/wish goal that she never seriously thought she could get close to is only seven pounds away!!
My only problem with this whole thing is that I can't hear her sneaking up on me on our wooden floors any more. No sound of footsteps with her walking on air now!!
