I wanted to reach my goal by my 41st birthday as my 40th birthday was a horrible experience for me. I looked in the mirror and thought who is that fat woman staring back at me? I didn't even recognize her anymore. But I now see I am not going to get there by the 18th of September and that it would not be realistic to expect to lose the last 31 pounds in the next 6 weeks. So my new goal is 150. Which would reauire me to lose 18 pounds over 6 weeks. Which is doable if I go to the gym and work out every day. So wish me luck....

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hell honey if you only drop one pound from today until your birthday you be happy and celebrate ! You look fantastic! Just look at those pictures. You have done a great job. The 18 pounds is possible im not saying it isnt however i agree its not really realistic. However is not impossible. So..... like I said even if its one pound honey you take your self and celebrate how far you have come and be happy with it. As for the honey moon period as they call it is the first year I think. For some its the first year and a half it depends on the amount you have to lose.

So you have a great one!

FABULOUS job!!!

Now, in all honesty. Getting to your goal--minus 125 lbs in under seven months is TOTALLY UNREALISTIC. If you said that you wanted to be at goal at your FIRST SURGIVERSARY, then I would have still said, it's still unrealistic so if you don't get there in a year, don't be disappointed, but you just may be lucky enough to get there in around a year or so. So, I think it's about time for you now to throw out the window your hopes, your notions that you are not losing fast. You ARE losing at a good rate, and rejoice in that.
Enjoy the postive effects from your surgery, enjoy the new freedom you have with your life. You don't need any negativity, so don't go looking for them.

To EVERYONE who's early out or looking at surgery: SET YOUR GOAL DATE FURTHER OUT THAN THE FIRST SURGIVERSARY. Even that is too early, actually. Setting it at around 18 months after your surgery is most realistic. You need to remember that it took you years and years to add on the weight where you got to the point to have surgery to help you regain and reclaim your life. If you can lose the majority of that in a mere two years, that is nothing other than a miracle.

The only goal I ever set was to follow the rules faithfully each and every day. I figured that if I did that properly, the weight would come off the way it should.

I was right. It did.

This is the only part of the process you control. The weight loss is your body's response to you doing your part. You can't control that, as anyone who has ever been in a stall will tell you. All you can do is give your body the conditions it needs for weight loss to happen. If you think you're in charge of this process, you're setting up a lot of unnecessary stress in your life.

$0.02.

They have deflated and without a bra look like two deflated snakes. Driving me insane. But underwire is my most amazing friend. The thing I miss the most is my nice big boobs...Like I have lost my best friend some days...laughing..was rather attached to them.

Oh well you can't have everything. Off to the gym to yoga this morning and then a swim. Havn't lost a pound this week so a bit discouraged...but my arms are getting stronger and I am running for 15 minutes on the treadmill so good for me....
