| ChuppyGirl One year out!!! wooo hooooo
Wooowww I just can't believe that last year like today, I was so tensed and worried and happy at the same time while hubby was driving me to the hospital to do the WLS! I still remember I was wearing a magenta long dress with white pants underneath I literally looked like a tent hehehehe. I was lied down on the theater table at around 10:00AM and it took me around 6 hours to get back to my room (Newbies don't get scared I had 3 surgeries in one!) for laproscopic patients it shouldn't take that long!
It was one of 1st 20 days from hell! I blacked out few times I was so weak. on clear liquid diet for a month and aaaaahhh I wish if I'm back on this diet I've lost the biggest chunk of my weight in the 1st 2 months! then my beautiful journey started.
I dropped quickly then I stalled then dropped then stalled... and aaahh I have to say like my lovely friend lisa that Gosh I love the scale when it plateaus because at that time I lost the biggest inches! and my beautiful curves were forming!
Today I'm one year out! and I cannot deny that it was one of the roller coaster year! I had the toughest times and the best times all in a matter of day and night! they were too drastic for me. But here I am a new happy healthy person who walks with all the pride and happiness with all what I've achieved on career level and on my personal life level!
On 4/18/2007, I wear size 14-16! I used to wear size 32-30! I was 335lbs (152kg's) and today I weigh 213lbs (96kg's).! I can now go to any store and buy whatever I want! before I had very limited number of stores which sells ugly old and shabby styles and I had to wear them because I had no other choice hehehe
Now I can wear anything! I don't have anything to hide! Except I still have lots of work to do on the thighs!
Today I reset my weight calender, I have an extra 59- 60lbs (26-30kgs) to lose. My target to fit in size 8! I go to the GYM almost everyday (Except for my period time) I play min 2 hours to 4 or 5 hours at max. I aim to lose the weight by Sep 2007 eventually I know I will go for a plastic surgery to fix my breasts, arms, and lower body lift (hips/thighs). But I still owe hubby with baby boy or boy twins!
I can't tell you how happy I am now! I wish if I have a loud voice that can reach the whole world! Obesity is an epidemic and the only cure to it is this surgery that rebirth a new healthy happy me!!!!
Happy losing everyone
Hanadi
PS. will post the pictures later...gotta go now for my surprise breakfast! Hubby will celebrate my Day on his way!

| CONGRATULATIONS my sweetest Sista Friend!!! WOW....isn't it amazing?! A Year....a whole year.... It's a bit surreal isn't it? I think about June 1st of last year....I was only 6 weeks post op, and Lisa-Fr1endly2 was at HER one year Surgery-verysary! I was sooo envious...and I couldn't believe how much weight she had lost....I think it was somewhere around 130 - 140#'s....and I was in AWE!! Now, our anniversary is here...and it's US!! It's really US, and it actually worked for us....we lost a TON OF WEIGHT, and we look like different people. It took a while to see the transformation...but it's definitely happened! I'm excited to see you Pictures....Post away!! I'm sorry I missed you in the chat earlier....when I open my Internet browser it opens my RR board too...and sometimes takes me a bit to actually get to check things out. By the time I got here you were gone! I was soooo bummed! Anyway....I hope to pop on here again today. I'm off to bed for now.....but in the morning 'Bella and I are going into Manhattan to the Children's Museum...and then to lunch with a girlfriend. Hopefully I will get a chance to pop on here to post you again soon...and see your beautiful pictures. I'm sooo excited for you. CONGRATULATIONS! Love you, |

Awwww Thanks DocSanea and HoneyDeb
OK the Breakfast surprise was at the Lenotre' (French restaurant) at the gulf coast. I had healthy breakfast don't worry hehehehe
Mommy and my Eng. Brother were there too. I received nice text sms messages from my sisters as if today is my B-day! and in fact I consider it as my true Birthday!
I won't make it longer for you guys, here are few pictures taken at the breakfast.
Enjoy
I can't believe how Tiny I am behind Judy!!!
Girls the towers behind me are the famous KUWAIT TOWERS, the one with one sphere is used as a water tank for storage, the one with 2 spheres has a revolving restaurant at the bottom big sphere that shows Kuwait in 360 degree, the 3rd pointy one I guess is there for lightening. Lenotre' is maybe 3 km away from the towers.

Thanks DocSane and Lisa
Yeah I can see the difference in the inches wayyyyy more than on the scale!! Ladies I cannot tell you how much I am now obsessed with my waist line hehehe I love to show it!! I love the well defined curves around that area. I'm very thankful that I have a flat ab! and I'm working so hard to get the abs segments firmed! The bad side I think I've lost a lot in the breast area can't wait for the plastic surgery girls!
You can tell about my new obsession from both of the outfits (the black Spanish style dress for my cousins wedding) and now this denim Italian short stylish Jacket with it's snake leather pattern skirt! I fall in love with it! Hubby refuses that I wear it for work he said it's very tight and revealing! but I guess after this mornings breakfast at the Lenotre' he'll be OK if I wear it for work
Thanks girls your support and encouragement means a lot to me.
(((((((HUGSSS)))))))))
Love,
Hanadi

| Amazed!
This site must be temperamental today. lol I posted to you, and it never came through. I just have to immediately do it again. You deserve all the praise you can get for doing such an incredible job in the last year. Your pics say a thousand words. What a transformation. I hope to be doing as well at a year out. Then again, I only have 3 months as of May 1st, to go. I hope to post some new pics of myself then. I can't believe myself, I am almost 9 months out. Where does the time go? I imagine it is because now, we don't just sit around dwelling on how horrible our lives are due to the extra weight we are carrying. We are all out there enjoying life to the fullest. I just can't say enough about how incredible the pictures of you look. You seem to be on top of the world. GOOD FOR YOU, CHUPS! It makes me so happy to reply to post like this one you have posted. You probably don't know this Chups, but you have been one of my biggest inspirations since I joined this incredible site way back in July, 2006. You are not afraid to be honest with whatever is thrown your way after surgery, and are right there to give all that is necessary to everyone, to see them through all the little things that might come their way after surgery. I hope you don't ever intend on going anywhere, anytime soon. People like me, and many many others, need you so very much.
In closing, keep up the great job Chups. You, hubby, and kiddies, enjoy your new life, that God has brought to you. You deserve more praise than you will ever know.
mike
