Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass    |  My before/after emotions stir.. It's funny how you look over something and don't really see it. I'd never really seen my before/afters next to each other. In seeing all the pics and randomly seeing mine. I look and see one; how very different I look from where I started. two; I see the sadness in the before that I thought I'd hidden so well all that time. It's weird, it saddens me to see those 2 pictures side by side. It's SO not the reaction I thought I would have. Some of it is because I know that sometimes inside I still feel like I did back then...but I realize know that is only a feeling it is NOT how I look OR who I am NOW... I like the picture my daughter took of me in the tall weeds in the backyard. I think it shows the strength I kept hidden inside showing through. I look at that picture and see a strong woman, not a weak one!

Deborah, it's up in the revolving B/A pics, and the first post of the B/A pic list by Michael. Yup, I think the pics among the weeds is great, actually, I like better the one you have in your profile where you are peeking through the weeds, more than the one you have in your avatar. I guess it's all how we think we look like in our heads, rather than how well we can see ourselves objectively. Rather like how we don't recognize our own recorded voices.

Bree I agree with every thing you just said about yourself. We are sad inside when we are overweight or have health issues. I don't know if any of you watch Biggest Loser or not. When they get them ready to leave that ranch they put up a cut out board exactly as they come in. Real size. Then they have the stand up and compare them selfs. Each and everyone of them start crying. Even the men. Every one says they see it in there face on the life size cut out pic when they first come how sad they were inside and didn't realize it showed so much. Im a pretty spunky gal I think and try to stay up and positive on allot of stuff. But I can look at pics I have now and see the sadness in me and know its inside of me everyday. All I have to do is wake up each am or try to get out of a chair or when I go for my pain meds. Bree you have did a fantastic job to overcome everything in your life you have. Your an inspiration to allot of us. |

Oh goodness deborah, didn't realize I could have pointed to a link for pics..*slaps forehead!*sorry hon!..I also have extensive pictures from all sides on yahoo...front side back with up close ones of my tattoos when I was still obese and they were fresh. Yahoo! Photos in the baby girl and wls albums, newest wls etc. There's even some with my 2nd husband...:-( --bree
