 |  Made it to goal!!! Before and after Pictures
Today I decided to officially believe my scale after watching it go up and down for awhile now. It has finally decided to stay at or a little below 165 lbs for several days now! I can't believe it!!!
Two days from now will mark the 1 year anniversary of the day I met my surgeon for the first time. This was the beginning of a journey that at times has been extremely difficult but worth every single moment to get to where I am today. When I left the surgeons office that day I was determined to begin making the healthy changes in diet and exercise that will hopefully last me a lifetime. I lost 48 lbs the 6 months leading up to my surgery and the remaining 70 lbs since surgery. Yes I've had some complications that have contributed to some issues of malnourishment and I am working on that being resolved now that I can get things in.
My next goal is to run/walk a 10k next month! I had hope to run the entire thing but because of the recent surgery I had I've been unable to put in the training I would've liked. I did go pick up my new running shoes today though!
Today as a reward I bought myself a sweater dress in a size medium!!!!! (big wow for me!) When I went upstairs to look for a slip I had a sales girl come up and ask if I needed any help. I told her that because I hadn't measured my hips in awhile that I didn't know if I needed a medium or a large. She looked at me and immediately said "a medium... you're tiny!" I think my mouth about dropped to the floor because I'm 5'10" with a large frame and nobody's ever said that to me my entire life! 
I know that reaching my goal weight is really only the beginning because to maintain my health and weight loss I'm going to need to work harder than ever. I'm so thankful for Renewed Reflections and the friends I've made here. You've been a big part of my weight loss journey and have been with me through the joy's and struggles, the laughter and the pain. I've learned so much from you all and Doc whom I admire am glad for her moderation and voice of wisdom on this site.

What I always look at first isn't the full body pictures, but the faces in each before and after picture. I love the difference in the expressions more than anything! To me, that's a bigger before and after than the body itself. You look simply amazing and are an inspiration to me!
