No, not much you can do about it. Because the surgery is rather drastic, and the limited amount of what your body can get as nutrition especially early out, it's going to neglect whatever is not essential in healing your surgery scars and keeping you alive. So, hair is neglected. It will come back as the rapid losing stage ends, and your body's new metabolism levels out. Keeping up with your protein and supplements will help with the new regrowth, so just make sure that you're sticking to the progam you're given by your surgeon.

I'm taking 1000 mcg a day. Now I'm wondering if that is enough? My hair started coming out about two weeks ago. I pull a small handful out every time I wash it - yuk. |
