I have one week until my surgery,feeling scared but very excited. I have been on the liquid diet for 3 days now. I am going to be going camping with family and of course the will be soooo much food!! Wish me luck with my soup!!! I am doing better today.Yesterday i wished only for a piece of bread to soak up the water. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this!

Monday, August 3rd, I will be joining those who have entered the world of being a gastric bypass patient. I am scared and excited at the same time. Will have to start my four weeks of liquid protein next week.

Hello everyone! I am not sure what I am doing yet on here, but here goes...
Had my RNY surgery a month ago, have lost 26 pounds (is that about average?). I am on the soft diet for two more weeks. Had an experience with eating some fresh fish, and it HURT, even hurt down in the intestines. Maybe I didn't chew it well enough, but it sure was unpleasant, and left my esophogus feeling on fire. Have any of you had that happen? I am thinking I might have to go back to my Prilosec that I took...

I had my yearly mamogram yesterday. I have had one a year since the age of 25. i lost my MOM to breast cancer at age 47.
They didnt call back which is a great relief. They do within hours if they see anything. Most of the time before you get back home.

Mike had his ultrasound on his neck yesterday. They called this am early to let him know it didnt show anything growing back so that is fantastic. Come back in a year if eveything is clear then he will be considered cancer...
