Protein Intake

Hi all:

hope all is well with you all. Regarding protein drinks, I had my surgery in December 2007 - should I still be taking my protein shake every morning or should I stop taking it? Please kindly let me know as I am lost regarding this. Many thanks and I pray you all stay healthy.
