One down, two to go!
Yes very very true! Although I will be the first to admit that those are all very valid concerns to have. Obviously plastic surgery is not cheap (about 20k) for all the procedures I am having done, and I am working very closely with my doctors to ensure that I am a good candidate for it. That being said, I must say that it is sooo nice to not have that 9 lbs of extra skin hanging down around my stomach! every time I look in the mirror I want to scream with joy!!!!!
I wish you luck on your journey, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.Posted 01-31-2012 at 01:34 PM by Zenman

One down, two to go!
Congrats on the success of your first plastic surgery. I am new to all this as I haven't had my surgery yet . I have to admit the thought of plastic surgery is a bit daunting, and I am a bit concerned about the cost. Oh well, one step at a time right?Posted 01-30-2012 at 11:55 PM by redhead60

To the Summit!
Well, it came in two stages really when I think about it. Stage one was after I moved in with my parents due to being 750 lbs. I started to eat a more "normal" amount of food, and that helped alot. At the same time, I also started up with the weight loss clinic, and went on a 6oz of protein, 3 oz of veggies and 3 or so ozs of carbs. That took me to the Gastric bypass surgery, which has accounted for the rest of the weight that I have lost since that point in time.
In terms of time, that would be one year with the pre-bypass diet, and about 14 months since then. I hope that helps!Posted 01-24-2012 at 09:48 AM by Zenman

The Death of the "will I fit?" list...
Congrats on your weight loss so far! I'm holding fast to my wii. I think it's worth the effort and the money. I've lost five pounds this month mainly from diet, but my wii has definitely kept me from snacking and kept me energized!Posted 01-14-2012 at 04:52 PM by SlimmerErin

Stress did it...
With the bands, sleeves and any other similar restrictive "equipment" stress is a major factor. Our bodies seem to stretch or expand when stressed and I bet your body reacted in the only way it knew how, by throwing up. I hope you are feeling better and continue to work on not internalizing stress. You'd be a magician if you could find that miracle cure though! Good luck!Posted 01-14-2012 at 12:12 PM by SlimmerErin
