are we suppose to be starting a new blog each time we write, or are we just suppose to add to the one we already did? Like i said, this blog stuff is new to me, not sure how it is suppose to work. i just kinda use it as a journal of events.
And today, i am so glad it is Friday!! it didn't seem to come fast enough. I have been tired this week, very busy. And i need to catch up on housework this weekend, so much laundry not enough time. 2 kids, but you would think i had a dozen.
my daughter takes her senior pictures next week, for those of you who haven't been thru this, this is a major ordeal... or it is here at least. Kids really get in to the senior picture thing. and it is so pricey. If she had it her way she would have a dozen clothes changes and 50 different poses. i think we are going to keep it to 2-3 clothes changes and maybe 5 poses.
Lately i have had people come to me and tell me horror stories about people they know who have had some type of WLS, I guess they tell me, because they are concerned and want me to know what sort of risks that are out there, but i researched this pretty well, i understand the risks and am happy i did it regardless, i do feel bad they know people who are having problems, but when they tell me about these people i ask if they had gone back to the Dr. and they say no, they don't want to go through another surgery. I guess i feel that if you don't want to do what is necessary to feel better you have no right to complain. That probably sounds harsh. but i don't get it, if you are having a problem, talk to your Dr. and see what needs to be done to resolve it and then do it. So many people don't follow the Dr's orders. Maybe i am just being too harsh. I would make a terrible hospital care person, no bedside manner......
Well it is off to work.
Ciao

Either way works fine, starting a new blog for each day like a diary, or adding your own comments to something you started earlier.
As for horror stories, I am sorry that some people can't seem to help pile the stories on those who know better.
And yes, as a dr, I say you must go back to your own surgeon whenever you have a problem and learn together what can be done to correct the problem. Sometimes it is something that you are not following the way you should, other times it's something that the dr has to step in to correct, and that doesn't mean another surgery. Actually, I am wondering why they think that going back to their drs is automatically equal to a second surgery. Where does that line of thought come in?
Anyway, having weight loss surgery means you had major surgery, so you are meant to go back to your dr for follow ups.Posted 09-21-2007 at 09:57 AM by DocSanae

i asked the same question, to both people... one is having a problem, malsorbing (not sure of correct spelling or term) the other, from what i have been told the pouch isn't holding the food and it is passing straight thru and he can't hold his weight, he is over two years out. I think they are assuming they will need surgery, i didn't talk to them personally, just the people relaying the situation. But either way, i would think you would want to take care of the situation regardless of what it means. Like i said i just don't get it... I don't mean to sound un-sympathetic, but if you are having a problem deal with it. And maybe you won't have it anymore. I am so grateful for my surgery, and even though i had some complications, i would do it again in a heartbeat. The problem in the begining, was taken care of, after a week in the hospital,
and even though i hate hospitals, i would recommend this surgery to anyone who needs it. Any type of surgery is dangerous and probably has complications.Posted 09-21-2007 at 10:37 AM by Lch
