Surgery date is scheduled

I heard from Vanderbilt Friday. My surgery is October 8th. I am very disappointed that I have to wait 3 more months. Has anyone else had to wait that long after everything has been approved? The people I know personally told me once you get apporved your surgery is scheduled quickly. So that is what I was expecting. 
Anyway, I am one that believes everything happens for a reason, but still doesn't make me happy. There is nothing I can do about it so I will just have to make the best of it.....

In a way its good to have this time before surgery to get things done before hand that want knaw at you later. Some people have a fast date right after approval. I would think this is the quickest your surgeon can get you in on his sch. Mine couldnt get me in for 2 months following approval but I extended it do to my work sch.
Your surgeon must be booked until then and that shows he or she is a very well in demand which is a great thing. Enjoy your summer. It comes fast belive me that date does. Take care.Posted 07-22-2009 at 02:50 PM by MsVickie
