Five years after my Roux-en-Y open gastric bypass, I find myself weighing 20 pounds more than I did last year.
While everyone around me still thinks of me as being a "reasonable" weight, I know that this is a dangerous thing for me, and I need to take that 20 pounds off and continue toward my original goal. I seem to have discarded that goal sometime in the past year or so.
All this time later, I realize that I need to get serious.
I am 55 years old and weigh 210. Again.
So, here I am, discussing and thinking about my relationship with food and eating and what I put in my mouth.
