Oh man, this almost feels like a vacation. Got done with my externship. All done with this step in school. Feels good to accomplish a goal. It was payed for with sweat and tears, literally. I had a horrible supervisor that treated me like a pack horse and a verbal whipping post. So i KNOW i earned my graduation grade, ten times over.
Hubby left last evening for his 3 weeks of MOS training. Sigh. Ofc now my son has to have a horrible ear infection, bronchitis and a cough that makes me cringe when I hear it, got to spend all day today at the doctors having him looked at. I really wish my hub didn't leave. LOL funny enough we had this HUGE windy, hail, and rain storm that blew the lights out the night before he left. My son slept through it and got to cuddle with hubs for a while.
Im just waiting for the day when we all are feeling good and are healthy at the same time. My hubby didn't want to leave but, its good for his career. He didn't want me to be here with my son alone while I too was recovering from my back.
I swear those ER ppl must think we try to get sick or hurt.
Wk 1 I get stomach flu, go to ER. So does hubs.
WK 2 son gets cough, fever, chills, vomiting, go to ER.
wk 3 we didn't go son is coughing still
wk 4 I still have the bug and go to the ER for an extended stay cuz of dehydration and vomiting. Son is seen for that damn cough.
Wk 5 son is in for vomiting, fever and chills.
wk 6 cough starts up again with son. No ER tho
wk 7 back gives out when i bend to pick up my son and his happy smashing of crackers into our carpet. ER again. For a few days.
wk 8 Son is in for 104.5 fever and went to docs today. bronchitis and ear infections..
Grrr.. that is a sad list. Ugh. I really shouldn't expect it to be any different. It is a new climit and new ppl. But I just cant do day care anymore. Seems like my son is getting worse by going there.
Im excited about keeping him home tho, when he isn't fussing and screaming his head off. Usually he is a very happy baby, but lately.. these past few weeks. Both me and hubs are running on fumes cuz he keeps us up with that cough and he demands till we give in to rock him in the lazy boy and sleep like that.. usually im stuck in that damn chair. Kills my back.
Im glad I can devote my time to my son now. Ive been feeling like I dont take enough interest in him since Ive been working. But ty gods it was for just a few weeks at grueling hours. Now I can relaxe and search for a part time night job. I want to keep DS out of the daycare and here with me. Plus I like to keep and close eye on him.
He would be in our room if hubs would allow it, but I did insist on a two bedroom. I never thought I would miss sleeping in the same room with my little guy, but its hard not to just wake up and look over and see him sleeping. Or have that eerie sensation that im being watched in my sleep and wake to see him peeking at me over the crib rails. LOL.. sigh.. i miss that..
lol i dont tell my husband that some nights.. i sleep on the floor in my sons room.. my husband sleeps like a log and i probibly could do jumping jacks on the bed.. that might be where my back trouble got aggrivated.. but i sneak out and just curl up and the foot of the crib. And the late night wake ups, lately since he has been so sick, have kinda been great. He used to sleep on me in the early months.. I missed that too.. if the dang positions he nugges me into lately didn't give my back fits in the morning I would almost say i Loved it.
