I'm in Canada, so it takes a little longer to get a date, but I'm going for my surgery in October. That's a lot sooner that I thought actually. Only 5 months away.
My surgeon wants me to loose weight before surgery so I'm down 30 lbs since January. I've lost my "quite smoking" weight and I hope to lose another bit before the surgery. It will be hard in the summer, but I'll try. As song as I don't gain my surgeon will be happy. I will still have to do the two weeks of optifast...

well., I guess we need to see some humor in all this. I went to the nutrition class, and they had over booked. They tried to get 40 potential patients, and their support persons, in a room built for around 20 people. The class was to start at 1 o'clock, and right up until 3;OO People kept arriving. They had to ask our support people to leave or stand.
i cracked a joke about them putting all of us in the basement to avoid all our wieght on the upper floors.

I am so excited. I have been to see the social worker and the dietician. I am going to a diet class this week and then the internist at the hospital In two weeks, I will be seeing the surgeon again to set a date for my gastric Bypass. Can't wait.
