Just realized that I haven't blogged since before the approval. I received by OHIP approval within 2 weeks. My initial consult with the surgeon was May 5th. My surgery will be on August 20th. 2 weeks left. All my bloodwork and EKG is done. Just have to wait patiently now! So excited and only a little nervous now. I have been counting down forever for the day to arrive it seems...well off to Utica NY on the 18th and back hopefully on Monday the 24th.

Well I called OHIP today and they said they couldn't tell me if I was approved by said a letter was mailed to me. ..I'm practically crying right now I am so happy! I called my GP and they called me back to say I was approved. I called the surgeon and they said they got the approval letter as well. I thought this would all take so much longer. I have my consultatuion on May 5th and she said the surgery may be 2-3 months. Sounds so awesome to me. Called my mum but she wasn't home. Can't wait to share...

Well hello all my name if Jennifer, I am 34 years old and married 3 years now. No children. I sent in my OHIP forms a few weeks ago for gastric bypass.
