First Time

This is my first time to post but I have been reading form ya'll for a while now. I am hoping to have my surgery by Feb of 08 and am currently working on my 6 months visits per the insurance. My biggest worry now is my BMI is at 39.8 and I have no major medical problems, yet, that the insurance considers to approve the surgery. The hospital is going to refer me to have a sleep study but I am unsure of how it will turn out. I almost want to gain 10 more pounds and start the visits over to be sure I get approved. I am in awe of how well all of you have done and it is nice to see that I'm not the only one struggling.

The 6 month diet requirement is to prepare you for post op life, and to see that you are commited. Your present BMI shouldn't affect the approval, the starting BMI is what is used.
