12 Days and Definitely Counting!

Another week down and have one of the two forms of BC taken care of (thanks Doc for your note back letting me know that I need to plan two forms - I had wondered why that was) No Depo either, trying the Nuva-ring. My gyne thinks this will be better overall for me, and reduces the risk of clots that I would have had if I had used Depo instead.
Other than that, life has been completely insane! Trying to get my back up in order for when I am out is tough. At least they are planning seriously for me to not have to worry while I recover. I am really lucky to have such supportive co-workers. They are all starting to ask the usual questions (what can you/can't you eat, how long for recovery, etc.). I have to stop myself from talking about it sometimes just so that we don't all get in trouble for talking instead of working. LOL
DH will be able to spend both weeks right after surgery with me. I think that is pretty cool. It comes at a price, though. He won't be paid for the three days prior to Thanksgiving in the second week, but that is his company's doing, not the surgery. We actually work in the same industry (not intentionally) but at different ends. I sell resins used to mold "plastics" (in our world they are called polymers, but who needs to be that technical all the time
) He works for a company that does molding, right down the street from me. All of us in my company are all too aware of what the market has done to molders in our industry. Many are going out of business. My husband's company, rather than thinking of layoffs or reductions, enacts unpaid, shut-down days. They announced today that it would be the three before Thanksgiving and then the two days they would have come in the weeks of Christmas and New Year's. I am jealous
He will have almost four weeks of time off out f the next 8!!! Can't complain too much though - I will only have to work four days more than him, which will definitely help me through my recovery.
Well, more soon - I like this. Let's me vent and gives the chance for others to either tell me to shut up
or to give advice.
