Good Morining To You,
In the WLS program at KP, they have a person drink 4 cans of Carnation Instant Breakfast a day. My thoughts after one week of this. Last night I had the pleasure of speaking with someone who had this surgery done a few weeks ahead of me, and she said she got to eat food right after her meeting with the surgeon--my apt in 8 days from now. So . . Yesterday I HIT THE WALL! It was all I could do to even think of it. I was dreaming of cottage cheese and egg whites mmmmm...

SURGERY! HOME IN TWO DAYS!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE--SURGERY ON JUNE 24TH AT 8 am.

My surgery is in three days. Good news is that I have the worship team duties for tommorow at church. That is really good news, because it keeps me busy.
I sheduled my surgery for a real stress free time in my life, and low and behold--STRESS FILLED!

I met my surgeon yesterday! It have been such a long journey for me--not just the weight loss classes, doctor apointments, side tracks with other health problems--a near death from a ready to burst gall bladder, cysts on the ovary that needed removing, painful IUD insertion, various apointments for the kaiser bariatric program--but also the emotional part, like hours of therapy. Yet, meeting my surgeon was so weird. It was like he was talking to my future self. We discussed having a baby...

What a difference a week can make. I am back on program, and I have been "working my skills."

First I had to breath--living on a constant high is just too much for me. I sat at my desk early in the week and took long luxurious breaths in and out. It was a wonderful experience! This started me on a really good week. I make my favorite soup for lunches, so I had everything I needed to be successful.
I am feeling better--not in charge--but serenity now
