Having a gaggalicious time. I spend all day fighting the impulse to gag. This is getting very tiresome. And my mouth feels like a sewer, nothing tastes good (except Chili) and I seem to be more sore than others who have had this surgery. I know...be patient.

Slept for a long time...9 hours, but woke up several time from stomach discomfort. How can I have indegestion if my stomach is empty? Ahhh, the mysteries of a grouchy pouchy.
Woke up slightly nauseated. Had to sip tea before I could chew any vitamins. Had a container of light & fit yogurt followed a few hours late by 1/3 cup blended chili. Still feel very weak and iffy.
This is not a good day.

4 weeks out and I'm just now starting to feel a little better. Gosh this recovery is slow! I know...age...I'm 62 and no Spring chicken but I honestly thought I would bounce right back. So...NOT!

The procedure was open instead of lap, because of adhesions from past surgeries, so that has slowed down recovery. But honestly...from all the stuff I'd read before hand I never expected to feel so lousy. Food is almost an enemy now. I've dumped on what I thought was perfectly acceptable....
