 |  Selling my bread mixer with all the goodies
Peanut told me she wanted an upgrade on our trusty old bread mixer, so I'm getting her a KitchenAid. Not enough room on the counter for everything, so I am selling our venerable K-TEC Champ by Kitchenetics. In addition to the bread dough kneading hook, there are two other beaters/whisks, a slicer/shredder attachment, a 2 quart blender and a meat grinder. Please see the attached pictures. I'd like to get $250- out of it, but I'll entertain serious offers. You will pay for shipping and insurance, too. A recipe/instruction book comes with it as well as a spare drive shaft. (The original drive shaft lasted 6-1/2 years, and I just bought a replacement and the extra.) Parts are still available at Blendtec - Parts & Accessories.

When I saw the word "KTec" I almost gasped. I want a flour mill, which Ktec makes. Sorry, I still like to knead my own bread, o/w I would have made an offer.

Our flour mill is also a K-TEC. It works just fine. Good solid piece of equipment that'll grind grain all day long if you need to. I typically grind 16 cups of wheat at one time. That fills the flour bin twice. Want me to keep an eye out for a good mill for you?

That would be lovely, CT. I have been looking at the "whispermill" that sells for $275 or so, delivered. It has pretty good ratings in Amazon. But the Ktec looks good too.
I was at breakfast with dad and his galpal today and told her I was looking for a better mill than I had, and she seemed interested. I WILL have a good mill by my bday in July....how I get it is still in the air. LOL

It looked impressive but I'd still be scratching my head 3 weeks from now - where exactly do you buy grain to grind? I don't recall seeing it at the local supermarket~~~ LOL - so now you know for sure all my country roots are history! All my granny ever made was cornbread and biscuits.
