I just posted to something LadyLisa had posted and it made me think. You know ladies -- we should really start a clothes exchange on this website for folks coming through -- I'd never really though of it before. Maybe the guys too -- but its probably a little more challenging for you men. I know a lot of you have sold on eBay -- I just gave most of mine away (thousands of dollars worth of clothes) but wouldn't it be nice if they could exchange them here with others who are on the journey? I mean, I don't have any left to exchange, but just a thought? It sure would have saved me a lot of money if I could have gotten someone else's slightly used 18's, then 16's, then 14's, then 12's, then... well you get the picture. I know there are clothes swap parties that people have -- maybe we need a clothes swap here? What do you think? |

So is there anyone out there that would consider getting it up and running? How would we post the clothes? How would people exchange? Etc... the details are daunting I know and I don't even have clothes left to donate or I would gladly get things started. Thoughts? Volunteers?

I think its a great idea. I was just telling my husband yesterday that I need to hit a sale at the church to please let me know when he sees one. He is a mailman and finds out ahead of time when the sales are. I have lost 46 lbs already before surgery. My 22,24,26s are falling off. I have sewn my jeans all the way up (about an inch or two) on each side. I figured this was a good way to get extra wear out of them but even those are getting loose now. I have like 2 pairs of pants that stay up  I hate the thought of paying full price for clothes that I will only be in a very short time. I did say I was gonna live in sweat pants for the next year so i can just pull the string tighter but that wont go over so well at the real estate office  I have some clothes(3-4X tops and a few pairs of jeans 24-26s) I could bag up and send off to someone who is need. Anyone have 16s ,and 18s they want to get rid of? I would be interested

Jill, I think that's a great idea. I'm like you, I gave away thousands of clothes, and would have given anything to have been able to get some slightly used clothing. Hey, maybe I still can. Thanks for the idea.
