Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have clothes ranging from size 12 to my present 3X. My husband says I need to clean my 2 closets out as the bars are sagging! (Not to mention my 11 dresser drawers are over crammed) I am looking forward to removing my clothes one hanger at a time as I lose the weight and pile the larger ones up for one big lawn sale (hopefully next summer). Who else has been able to join in this kind of fun??? The worst thing I am looking forward to is finding new bras (gosh I hope I lose something there as I am a candidate for a reduction!! LOL)

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hey there.......Im there now. I am 5 months post op and I cant believe Im saying this but I get depressed because all my clothes are too big and baggy. I never thought I would be saying that. Like you said, I go thru the closets and I am amazed at what doesnt fit anymore. Its a good feeling. Now if I could only win the lottery and have lots of $$$$ to buy new clothes. I dont have a ton of extra $$$$ to spend on clothes right now so Im holding out. I dont want to buy and then have that stuff not be wearable too. But in the mean time things are getting bigger and bigger. Dont get me wrong its a great feeling. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | aI loved going through my closets and trying stuff on and finding out it didn't fit anymore from being too big. Nice change from too small. If you have career clothes you can always donate them to the program that helps women get work. If you need extra money take some of your nice things and go to a consignment shop. You can use the money you make to buy yourself some new stuff. I hate where I'm at right now. To big on the top to go to the normal sizes and too small to look good in the 'fat chick' clothing. Three more weeks - not long now! Good for you, |

| Funny you brought this up. Last night I tried on three pairs of pants and two blouses that had been too small for years thinking I could wear them to a luncheon today. All of them went into the donate box because they were too big. Then I remembered a pair of pants I bought that were a couple of sized too small but were such a deal I couldn't pass them up. I got in them, but 10 more lbs and I'll have a really nice pair of pants. Good thing is they are a little heavier weight pants so they will be great in fall and winter weather.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hey I'm having my surgery on 10-15 too so we'll have to keep in touch from here on out. I want to lose the same amount as you do, too. I've been looking through closets and found 20 outfits I can get back into that I've held onto for years....and a great seamstress works at my job so she'll take clothes in as I lose. Donate or put clothes on consignment and use the $ to get new ones or even thrift store basics in your in-between sizes as you lose. Will save $ on food so am gonna spend that on clothes!!! Connie

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am not shy when it comes to saving money. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to the Salvation Army Thrift Store and buy a pair of white tagged pants listing for $4.99 for $2.49 (1/2 off depending on tag color), then on top of that the original tag is still on them showing 32.99 or something like that. So when it's time to look for new clothes, I will not hesitate to look for clothes at a thrift shop for now. For me personally, this is the most realistic place to buy new clothes until my body levels out.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I've already given away several items and every time I try one on and it doesn't fit -- it goes into the Goodwill bag -- I figure I'm getting an ego boost AND a tax break at the same time! How can you go wrong! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Funny! Reminds me of the time I heard a crash in my closet and found the bar had torn off the wall from the weight of the clothes- I knew then it was time to clean out the closet and get rid of all those clothes I was saving to wear when I lost weight. Now I am going to have the opposite problem! Soon I will have a lot of size 28 and 26 clothes to get rid of! All Lane Bryant........
