Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi Sandwich, welcome to the great big world of should I or shouldn't I! All I can say is do a lot of research and make a decision you are comfortable with. I had RNY on May 17th - ask away!

Sandi-wich,

Becky is right on target about the research. I do have to add though that at some point you will feel saturated with as much info as you feel you need. At this point is where you get on your knees and ask for Gods will.

This is a big enough deal to ask him to slamm the door shut if he doesn't want you to have the wls.

Hi Sandwich,
I agree with everyone..do your research, read everything you can and pray about this. It has to be your decision,do not let anyone make your mind up for you
I had open RNY in 99 and lost 255 lbs in 18 months. I was taken off all my meds i was on the day i had surgery. After being an insulin dependant diabetic for many years i no longer need any kind of diabetis meds. I have gained some weight back but am back on track and loving life Good luck to you friend...Val

Sandwich - Research is the key to a sound decision with wls. Ask anything you want, we're all pretty open about our jouney to health. I spent a year learning about RNY before I had surgery. It was worth it to me.

I had Open RNY in May 2005 (yup, just five months ago) I've lost 93lbs and am feeling great No more sleep apnea, no more snoring, no more pain in my weight bearing joints, no more having my kids tie my shoes for me, no more Amigo cart when I shop at WalMart..... I'm FREE!!!!!

Wishing you the best on your wls journey!!
