Default hard to eat

I am 3 weeks and 3 days after surgery. I have to force myself to eat then can only hold a couple of bites. I feel so full all of the time but haven't had any trouble keeping anything down.I also poop 10 or 11 times a day where is it comeing from I dont eat enough to go so much. Is this normal? I have lost 16 lbs which I think is great...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well I do admit I didnt go that much in the begining. And it is normal to feel so full. i do remember that. I would take just a few bites and be like, wow Im full. enjoy it while it lasts cause I am 10 months post op and I get hungry now. Great job on the weight loss so far.

Yes Do Enjoy It Now Hun, Im 7 Months Out Now And Do Experience Hunger. It Will Come Back Later On. Sounds Like You Are Doing Great. You Cant Eat Much In The Begining Because Your Insides Are So Swollen So Not Much Will Fit In There Right Now. Just Follow The Rules Of Your New Tool An You Will Be Fine. As For Your Pooping It Could Still Be From The Drugs They Give You At The Hosptial Has Not Left Your System Yet So That Will Slow Down Very Soon. I Had Expereinced The Same Thing When I First Came Home From The Hosp

the food thing will pass....then you'll look up and go, "did I really just eat 6 ounces????"

The pooping thing might be something to look into....you may want to check with your surgeon on that issue!

Yes, it is normal to feel full after eating such a small amount, I can remember my hub laughing at me cause I was so full after like 3 bites! As for the going so often, I never did, I still dont go very often, I am always trying to make it happen.

Like the rest say, it is normal to eat only a few tablespoons at the beginning. And the hunger will return later on. Now I had lots of problems at the beginning to go poop and now I have no problems at all and seems like I am going normally now. I do eat fruit each day and I am thinking this helps to and i try to eat fiber also to help. I do not take anything now to help me to poop. The weight you have lost already is great. You are doing a good job and keep up the good work on losing the weight.

Don't know about the poop thing, keep an eye on that and talk to your Dr. As for food, I'm still having trouble, somethings go down easy and somethings don't go down at all and I have no ides why, like eggs. And some things like yogurt and ff - sf pudding, I can have like 6 - 7 ounces, but fish, even though I make it very moist, maybe 3 ounces. And then bam, the next day I can't even get the fish down! It's different every day.

I can eat some things all the time and does not bother me but eggs is another story. I can eat the boiled eggs once in a blue moon and have so problem and then I want to eat another one the next day and I end up throwing out the whole egg, becasue I gag on it on the first bit and the same way if I fry it. My pouch is really weird sometimes. Most people have trouble with beef, in fact that is one of the first meats that agreed with me and I can eat beef the best still, and also porkchops. Chicken is much better now but in the first month I threw up on any kind of chicken or turkey and the smell just gaged me so I did not make any kind of chicken or turkey the first two months. I first tried chicken in a few months in my Rotisary and that agreed with me real well so I started to try chicken more often and agreed with me and I have no trouble with it now. But any kind of fish in a can. I think you know what i mean. I use to love any kind of fish in a can. Not anymore and I hope down the raod that I can eat it but for now, no way!!!
There are days I can eat pretty good and days I have trouble with food. There are days I want to eat lots of sweets so I eat my sugarfree candy and from the site I order lots of food they have good sugarfree fuge and I just love that stuff , it is kinda carby but it is high in fiber. It seems to work for me and I lose weight even though I eat it, but I do not eat it that often it is a treat for me. I eat the sugarfree fudge when I really crave chocolate. I have cho. mint and my daughter has the peanutbutter fudge. I am thinking of ordering both next time so I have two different kinds. In fact I have a small piece of fudge right in front of me while I am writing this. It takes me a while to eat a small piece because it is sooo filling. I think it is the fiber in it.
I fotgot to mention about the beef that agrees with me the best. I even ate steak way before my daughter did. She cannot get over how I can eat beef and on top of that, it is steak. But I cut it into bit size peices and fry it with lots of onions and then I dip it into steak sauce or ketchup when I eat it. If I have left overs I put the leftovers into a cassrole and add a can of low fat or the healthy choice cream of mushroom soup and throw some baby carrots(cut in half the long way). and mix it all together and bake it for about an hour or when the carrots are done and ohhh is that ever good. My husband eats what I eat and he enjoys the food and I know he is eating healthy too. I better stop I am just rambling on and on.
Today is a real bad day for me I am craving sweets and the fudge took care of that for me. This one little piece I have in my plate is not so interesting I think I got my fill of it and might have to put it back for some other day to eat. I forgot to mention for some reason I was so hungry at dinner time and I ate 4 oz. of a hamburger. That really surprised me since I have trouble with hamburger. That is about the only thing with beef that I have trouble with, but some reason it went down good today, could be way different tomarrow. But 4 oz. of beef at one meal is unusual for me but after that I was stuffed. For supper I have beef hamburger out and I am not sure what I am going to make with it. I was thinking meatballs and gravy, but for now I am still not sure.
I have to stop now I am going to bore you all.

Well, I am 2 1/2 weeks post-op and I hate eating too. I force down a few bites of this or that to get my protein in and then finally today I found one thing I liked (chicken with lt. ranch dressing) and some shredded mozz cheese (not melted) and I tried to eat even half of it and now I'm paying the price. My pouch is too full. I'll finish the rest later. I've been drinking the special K protein water (5g) because it helps me with my fluids and protein and I don't get sick! I have yet to throw up (thank god), but I get nauseous. I think it's all normal.

The eating will get better as your pouch heals, I remember at 3 weeks I was eating pureed meats and then it was only about 1-2 oz and no more. I also could do very soft things. Hang in there it will all work out in time.
