Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  sick of it!! Sorry I just HAVE to vent!! I used to belong to a web site that was ONCE pretty good until a few people with no class ruined it. To make a long story short there is ONE person in particular who is constantly bashing the RNY!! Constantly discouraging those who have had it done and constantly telling people they will fail. I went there today as a visitor because I deleted my profile to see how someone made out who had surgery yesterday and once again he states to a new person on the site 1) to LIE on her application and tell the insurance company she needs nsaid so she can has a DS AND 2) tell your them you dont want a surgery that will potentially fail (rny) but you want a surgery that will be a sure thing (ds)! Great suggestion to tell a light weight to LIE to get a certain surgery approved. Maybe the rules are in place so you wont harm yourself!!??? So maybe you shouldnt be lying!!?? Exactly!! You call this is a support group?? Please!! I am so sick of being bashed over my surgery choice and told I will fail by this guy its not even funny!! Why I ever went back there today is beyond me!! Glutton for punishment I guess!! Its exactly the place I should go if I want to sabatage my journey!!! The truth is the ONLY PERFECT surgery is the ONE that is RIGHT for YOU!!! Its rediculous that he feels the need to constantly bring people down who have had the RNY and its just uncalled for. Sorry for venting but I have totally HAD IT and cant take one more dig!! He has left me  feeling sad, discouraged, bummed and disapointed! Boy oh boy - I bet he would be glad to know it!!!!On the bright side there are all of you who I can turn to and always feel encouraged! Thank you all for listening to my venting. Now I feel better.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | thanks Thanks so much Denise!! Seriously I am very upset. I am trying to figure out why I am so upset. I guess its because I feel people will actually start to believe this idiott!! Heck I am starting to doubt!!! Its a good thing I had a surgeon who thinks its the most amazing miracle ever known to man to be able to have a non invasive, safe surgery that will aid me in getting to my goal weight and become a healthy person. Something that is only possible for 2% of us without surgery if you have over 100lbs to lose. It also bothers me that he NEVER lists the whole truth about the DS and its side effects, risks and possible complications. I dont want him dishing any surgery even the DS but at least be honest about it. I am not asking him to jump up and down for the choice I made ... Just respect it and encourage me. Is that too much to ask?? Not tell me its a failure from the start!! Geeze!!! Now the idiott has me crying!! :'(

I'm sure the operators of this site can go back and find the posts from this person to validate your claims. The site owners should have the ability to remove this party from the membership, as this is a support group, not a bashing center. Complain to the staff in a private message, or to more than one department in the staff email listing to make sure your point is "heard". Sorry you had grief over an attempt to get help. If the person keeps this up, and the staff ignores your complaint, why not make this persons name or "handle" public? This way, more than one person can come forward with an objection.
