almost rained out, got soaked

we went to see the Carleton Place fireworks Sat night by boat. We've done this for a few years now and every year it waits till after the fireworks and then pours buckets. since it was looking like rain we brought a couple of tarps just in case. Fireworks we're beautiful as always and no rain. right up till the last firework. it burst in the air and the rain just came in buckets. so we were prepared right? the driver had a rain poncho and a rain hat, the rest of us huddled under the tarps. Oh oh! the boat motor didn't start. we were close to the last boat to be able to leave for this reason. No biggie we were protected from the rain, well except our faces and hair. but it was kind of fun to, until somebody under the tarp decided to move. because of the way we were sitting the tarp was collecting puddles and somebody moved and the tarp poured all of the puddled rain down inside the tarp, soaking yours truely. ah well, i dried. had fun, that's what counts

I had a close enough experience a couple of years ago right after one of the largest fireworks display here, that we go to, every year. Maybe the blast

and boom calls the

thunder

clouds?
