Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I went to my doctor and she said I need to increase my calorie intake to 1200. I understand why I need to do this in order for my body to have something to burn. But I am so tired of eating. I feel like my day consist of what I have to eat all day long. From the time I get up until the time I go to bed I am trying to eat something to build up my calories. I never knew this was going to be that hard. Trying to eat the right things with low calories means you eat all day....LOL These six small meals is driving me insaine....lol |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It's all part of the process. I'm a guy, and I've never counted calories. I try to get as much protein as possible in each meal, have protein type snacks, have trouble getting enough fluids, but I do exercise by walking 30 minutes every day. BTW, you might try dried peas as a snack. Put "nutritional value of dried peas" on google, and you come to a linked section with The World's Healthiest Foods that is a comprehensive site on nutrition. They also have a chart of 55 of the worlds's most protein dense foods. If your low on iron or other vitamins or minerals, you can research foods there that have the nutrients you lack. Be patient, it's all a process.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I felt the same way in my first few months. It was so hard to get in all the protein that I needed and I hated eating early out, but now that my food flavors are much broader now, I am finding it is easier for me to like food now. Early out I hated food and hated the idea of eating but I knew I had to, to get in my proteins, which was my priority at that time. I also watched so I did not eat to many carbs. I only watched my water intake, protein and my carbs. I never counted calories and I still do not count calories. In time it will get alot better and by then you will be in the routine and it is like second nature to me now becasue I need to eat to stay alive and it is not like before surgery "I lived to eat". When i do not know what to eat, that is where my high protein puddings come in and protein bars. So give it somemore time and things will get better for you.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It varys from day to day. Some days under 40 and some day up to 70's but if I go to high in one day I make sure I have less in a day or two to kinda equal it out. If that make any sense. My nutritionist said that was ok to do that. Now my daughter eats most of the time only half carbs of her protein. For instance if she has 80 protein she will most of the time only have 40 carbs. I try to do that but it just does not work for me because I will have a fruit each day. Fruit is higher in carbs. but I look at it as a healthy carb, It is a fruit and fruit is healthy. But I do have to say I did really good in my carbs. today. Thanks to Edie I found a low carb sweet tooth food for me. That is the rice cake that only has 7 carb and then I use the peanutbutter and mix it with walton farms sugarfree pancake syrup. I put a little low fat and no carb. marg. or use butter and smear the rice cake and then I put about two T. of the peanutbutter mixture. Ohhh is that ever delicious and sure hits the sweet tooth spot for me. It is more like a desert than eating protein. Iuse to mix peanutbutter with Kero Sprup but that is a no no now and I came up with the other syrup so that I only have the carbs. from the peanutbutter and the ricecake. Sorry I got so long with my post but that is what I try to do with my carbs. I do have to say it sure beats having the chetoos and other chips that I was craving. So the ricecake and peanutbutter is more healthy than the chips that I was eating, but I made them last becasue I only restricted myself to two bags a month and that is my husband helping me eat them. So I did not get to much. I think once my husband sees me eat the ricecake with peanutbutter he will want it too. But that is ok becasue I am stocked up with enough ricecakes and peanutbutter and I need to pick up somemore walton farm pancake syrup that is sugar free, zero carb and zero on a few more things. My son-in-law tried the walton farms barbacue sauce and he said that it is really good tasting. I have not tried it yet. I better stop before I bore you with my longggg post.
