Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Ok These Past 2 Wks I Have Noticed Im Eating Less And Less And Now Im Down To 360-500 Calories A Day. Yet I Feel Like I Have Eaten So Much. But When I Go Look On My Fitday.com Log I Have Only Eaten That Many Calories, Im Like You Got To Be Kidding!!! I Feel Like Ive Eaten Alot Of Food But 300 Or 400 Calories Is Nothing At My Stage! Like Tonight I Had To Make Myself At Least Drink A Protein Drink (since I Really Wasnt Hungry) To Get In More Calories And Protein So I Got It Up To 586 Calories And 49 Proteins. Why The Heck Are Things Moving Backwards In The Appetite Dept? |

| I'm with Becka. I feel like all I have wanted to do the last few days is eat. I have eaten between 650 and 900 calories a day for the last few days, but that seems like a lot to me. And I am getting so depressed. I I have only lost 7-10 pounds a month for the last couple of months. Should my "journey" already be slowing down that much. What am I doing wrong?

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Appetites can vary with different patients. Even the same patient can have varyin appetities. I know I had minimal appetite for several weeks. I had to force myself to consume food. I did take the shakes religiously though. I've met patients at bariatric support group meetings that claim that 3-4 small bites make them feel full, even multiple years post op. I can't feel full on 3-4 bites, but I do try to closely monitor my intake. I had a momentary "whoops" moment 7 months post op. I stopped going to support meetings, and failed to exercise properly, monitor food, or weigh myself daily. I gained 20 pounds in 2 1/2 months. Then I "got back on the horse" and followed protocol again. Got back down to where I was, and even lost another 17-18 pounds, down to the 204 I am today. But I do weigh myself daily on a digital scale. I try to exercise by walking daily. I do splurge on some "no-no" foods once in a while, but that's my treat. I do everything else the best I can. I'm one of those that has to monitor my wieght, so my head feels OK about how I'm doing. I've been down to 200, but don't feel quite right, so I seem to feel happiest at 203-204. Sounds silly, but 3-4 pounds makes a big difference in the way I feel.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I don't know Edie- are you sick like with a cold or flu, or did you just get done being sick? Do try to try other foods than your usual stuff, maybe that will help! I bet you never thought you wouldn't want to eat lolol - I wish I had that feeling sometimes!
