Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Had my pre-op yesterday Had my pre-op stuff done yesterday. Lordy was there a lot to do. I could not figure out why I had to have "another" EKG, when I just had the adenosine stress test, echocardiogram and EKG just 2 weeks ago. I was there for about 5-6 hours, but I did get my vitamins and was able to sample 3 different flavors of "Nector" of which I bought 2 of them. Anyway, I guess I'm ready for Monday morning now. I have to be at the hospital at 0715 and the surgery time is 1015.

For most anesthesiologists, one EKG doesn't mean a whole lot if there is any possible, even slight abnormality (even if it says possible normal variance). Plus if the first one was fine and then there's something remotely different on the second, they'll even ask for a STAT one on the day of surgery just to see if it was lead placement differentiations or an actual problem.
