I read a book called Reach for the Stars, by Sharon Neva. I did not read it until I was about 8-9 months post op, but I wish I had it pre-op and during the early days. It has some great information, and places for journaling and questions of your own. Google the name, because I am pretty certain you can only get in online.
Additionally, I just finished reading a book called Conversations with the Fat Girl. This is a novel about two girls who were both overweight growing up. One had wls, the other did not. It is told from the perspective of the girl who did not, and is more about their changing relationship and her growth as a person. This is not an informative book, but it was entertaining and for me, great to see how this whole process can change people.
