Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am so Frustrated! The entire month of February I only lost 8 pounds! I am almost five months out and I still have a long way to go. Can this be over for me already? I have been driving myself crazy worrying about that dang scale. It is really starting to get to me. I am trying to eat right. I have to admit my water intake is down somewhat and I am trying to kick that back up. I need to get my butt back into the gym more regularly, but I am so bored with it (sorry about all the whining). Does it seem normal to everyone that I have slowed down so much this early out? Will it ever get good again or will the weight loss just fizzle out like it has been? At this rate by next month I will only lose 4 pounds the whole month. I am really freaking out. I haven't gained weight back, but is so weird because lately I have been feeling fat again. It feels like I am gaining all the weight back. Have I completely lost it? What is going on? |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My weight loss slowed down like that at 5 months. I weighed practically the same thing for my 6 month. But then the scales started moving again, but slowly for sure. I think it is normal. Your body is adjusting, you should be losing inches though, your body is tightening up. Hang in there. We get spoiled to the fast weight loss.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | completely NORMAL!!! I lost 65 pounds the first 3 months...which means I've only lost about 10 pounds a month the last 3!!! It slows down...and the plateaus get longer....stick to your plan and it will move! I have been having that fat feeling lately too...and I'm not even bouncing...I'm just PLAIN stuck! BUT...for whatever reason, I feel as big as I was 7 months ago...it is weird...! |

| Super Moderator | Hey, CeeCee, not yet 6 months out, and you've already lost 94 of the total 137 you want to lose. First off, that's way above the standard curve of losing, which is half of your excess weight in the first six months...you've actuall lost close to 70% of your expected weight loss, already. The standard curve is, half in the first 6 months, one half of the second half, in other words, one quarter in the next 6 months, and the last quarter in from one year out to two years. So, lets's say you keep losing 8lbs per month for the next 12 months, that will total to 96 lbs. If you lost that much from where you are now, that will put you under 100lbs. I imagine you don't expect to lose that much, do you? So, 8lbs per month for you now, is a very healthy rate. If you go that way for the next 6 months, you'll be at goal even before the year is out, which is much faster than expected, as you're expected to reach goal past one year, around 18-24 months out. You're doing a great job!!! ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Same Thing With Me. I Slowed Down At About 5 Months Also. Be Maybe If You Up Your Water And Go Back To The Gym You Might Kick Things Into Gear With You Body And It Might Not Only Lose On The Scale Buy Also In Inches. Infact I Have Noticed I Lost Soooooooo Many Inches Lately Even Though The Scale Has Slowed Down. I Have Lost More Inches Now Than I Did In The Begining. It Will For You Also |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Thank you so much everybody. I've been feeling so down in the dumps. I need to remember where I came from and that I am in such a better place now, even if I didn't lose another pound. I am so lucky to be where I am now when I never thought I would ever lose the weight I have. You all have helped so much. Thanks again. You are my angels. ![]() |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am going to the cardiologist tomorrow, and it has been exactly a month since I last saw him and I realized today that I will only be down 6 lbs. since then. Yes, mine has slowed down since around 5 months out, but it is still going down and not up!!!
