Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I just heard on the news here in New York that the plane of a bariatric surgeon from Westchester crashed. THE doctor involved was Dr. William Homan. 3 people were in the plane the surgeon, his wife and niece. MY heart goes out to him, his family, staff and all his patients during this difficult time. I am not sure if this is the surgeon of any of our board members. ((HUG)))

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Dr. HOMAN wasnt my surgeon but i feel this loss. I do know online friends who had him as there surgeon. I cant imagine looseing mine. This was quote from an online article and shows the true compassion that Dr. Homan offered those who came into his life. "He touched the lives of hundreds of people who've had morbid obesity as a problem." Homan's Web site, www.HomanMD.com , includes a statement from the doctor saying, "Nothing gives me more satisfaction than helping a patient resolve a difficult problem. There is no group of patients faced with a more difficult challenge than those who are severely overweight." such a loss to the weight loss surgery community.

Height: | I have to admit that if anything happened to my surgeon...I already have another one in mind. It is actually the surgeon that my friend went to and that I wanted to begin with, but did not get referred to. I think the world of both surgeons and do not in any way want anything to happen to mine, but I do think it is nice to have a backup in line. Janae |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hmmmm yeah your right...i had heard from another member of our boards that their surgeon just packed up his practice to go do some mission work in AFRICA.....so i imagine your right having a 2nd one in mind in case isnt a bad idea. I imagine i would go with the surgeon that mine originally started doing surgeries with before he started up his own practice of bariatric surgery. He is also local and with a great reputation. THERE are some in my area that i wouldnt let go near me with a 10 foot pole.
