Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Its always scary to think about surgery, even I got a little "worried" the day before surgery thinking about what I had chosen to do....rearrange my entire digestive system!! LOL. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I will honestly say that it was a very easy surgery to recover from. I was in pain when I woke up from surgery and they immediately gave me pain medication. The first day I slept and slept... then at 1:00a.m. I took myself off the morphin since it was making me sick. By the next afternoon I was up and walking around with no pain, by that night I had my IV out, showered and was doing great, by the last day I was completely pain free, walking and ready to go home. I felt good at home as well, I just got tired easily. everyone is different, but its worse thinking of the surgery then having the surgery!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Amina, it's hard not to worry. I was the exact same, never had surgery, never even needed a filling in a tooth! So never having experienced ANYTHING was freaking me out, so unaware of what it would all be like. But it's true, you wake up and aren't even sure any time has gone by! I know the scariest part right now must be the anesthesia, that's what freaks most people out, but please don't worry, they are so on top of things, every part of you is monitered, so many people are there making sure all is well. You'll be ok! And with all the prayers for you from here...geeze...you might as well have your very own direct line to God! Good luck and post as soon as you can!
