Lightbulb 6 days short of 6 months

Ok im just shy of my six month mark. As you all know I dont weigh anywhere but the Drs office. Either my PCPs or the surgeons. They match with the weight because I had a drs appoitment on the same day a while back.

I had to take my nephew that stays with me alot in today for a case of Strep Throat. When he got through weighing the nurse winked at me and said get on it. We both wanna see the new weight.

Im now down to 231lbs from 363lbs. In a little under 6 months. I have lost a entire person. This is one reason why I worry somtimes if it didnt come off a bit to fast. My body feels it for the good and the bad.

For me I wont say its been really easy and if any one ever tells me I took the easy way out I swear I will punch them! LOL.

The arthritis I had before is still there and as rampant as ever. I dont get to see a pain management Dr until May. They will I hope put me on a patch for pain. This is what I was told anyways. I cant take what they have for it now because of the asprin content. I live on Loratab and Ultram for the daily pain. This is what I did to my body before surgery. Some of it wasnt but most of it was.

I will say I have stuggled emotionally with this. Having PTSD following this was the toughest part. It was the complications that did it. I was litteraly SCARED to death. My husband has been so good through this entire route. I thank GOD daily I found him. I have started now to help with the washing. Im working up to being able to help clean my home. Yes ladies and gentleman I got to that state. Im healing emotionally and getting stronger each day.

The last thing I would like to say is this.......if you have a support group in your area you really should attend it. This boardis all the support I was given. I found it myself before surgery. Yall have been wonderful through everything. I think though everyone should have to venture out and attend sessions after this surgery to make sure your doing ok physically and mentally.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I remember all the problems you had after surgery...it's hard to believe it's been 6 months....I am so glad you are here...you are inspirational..and you can help others who come along behind you!

I still have arthritis pains (knees) but it's gotten better....eventually, I'll have to confront what to do about that as well....I hope things improve for you...you've come a LONG WAY BABY!!!

Many may say we took the easy way out but if they only knew. We literally risked our lives to save it. No one but someone who has gone thru this journey can attest to the fact that this is not the easy way out. We have to work just as hard to stay healthy and lose the weight and at the same time deal with all the emotional roller coaster ride that our relationship with food puts us thru. Congratulations on your weight lose, your courage and your strength. We are all with you.
