Default Re-adjusted goals?

so...in the last 2 weeks, I've had COUNTLESS people tell me..."DON'T LOSE ANYMORE...YOU LOOK GREAT NOW, and if you lose anymore, you will start to look bad."

At first, it was one or 2 people....NOW, it's everyone?!?!?! It's not like I'm emaciated...LORD knows I could never be anorexic...I LOVE FOOD TOO MUCH!!!

I am planning on having some plastics done....I can't stand my upper thighs, stomach, arms or pancake boobs....I know I can expect slight loss, due to removed skin....but I also know a lot of WLS patients "BOUNCE" back up, once they reach goal. Let's say I lose 10 pounds of skin....that would put me 13 pounds from goal (as originally slated at 150)...but if I bounce back up...that's 160-170...(I'm 173 now)....I've looked at charts/stats on what I "SHOULD" weigh. I'm just not sure if I need to re-adjust my goal or not....according to everything I researched, it would put me at optimal weight between 145-150....

How do we know or when should we adjust our goals?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

My personal opinion, you can't go by charts, maybe in the range, but not specific. I know for me, any time I've gotten under 190 (you would think that was too heavy for me, even being 5'10) but I get bruises on my hip and pelvic bones - hence the goal of 200 (for now..).
You said everyone is saying not to loose more, I wouldn't necessarily go by that...
You have to go by how you feel, are you happy where you are at, clothes size, health, BMI range...then minus the skin when you have plastics...if you had plastics right now (imagine the skin gone..) would you be happy?

See..that's the thing...I tell people how much I weigh...and they can't believe I weigh that much....I'm wearing 4's adn 6's and while I like the sizes...I feel like I've fallen short of goal....

I weighed 151 after my daughter was born....but I was wearing size 8's back then (WOW, have sizes changed or what?!??!) Being in the gym is trimming away at the inches (I didn't work out much when I was taking Phen/Fen)....and I know that's part of the reason I'm wearing the sizes I do...plus the fact that I'm taller than a lot of people, so more of the weight is distrubuted differently...

I had a lady at work tell me we could share clothes now...and I look at her..she's SUPER TINY!!! (she's a gym trainer too)...I don't "SEE" me as being in her league...if that makes sense....

Part of me feels like if I had the skin removed today...I could be happy staying where I'm at! After all....I'll never look like I did in high school...and for 43 years old....it would be a good look for me...so I dunno?!?!?!?!

Your body is going to have its own mind, no matter what you try to dictate...so, no need to listen to comments from others, really, after all, 150 is not an unhealthy weight for you--go by what your surgeon tells you.
Keep in mind, no one probably has seen you before at the weight you are now, or your goal, so, you are at the smallest most people have known you. That will lead to comments of being too small--it isn't whether you'll look quite fine even at 20lbs less, it's just that they can't imagine what you'll be like at 20lbs less, so they say you don't have to be any smaller. The *have* is for them, not you.

Let people say what they will, but DON'T let them mess with your mind.

I've read quite a few times/articles, sizes have changed. And yes, working out makes a huge difference. I read something about Marilyn Monroe, either she was a size 14 or the equivalent of what a 14 is now (maybe she was a 8 or 10?)
I think if you get plastics you'll be pretty dang close to looking like you did in high school, cause you are smoken now!
And the smile on your face and the love of a good man don't hurt none either....you look really happy!

go with how you feel. I already know that "when" I reach my goal weight of 145-150 there will be a few people who say I look to thin.... but I do believe what Doc said. So many people have seem me at 255lbs for 16 yrs they forget what I SHOULD look like... I know what I should look like and when I feel that enough is enough, then I'll stop.

I am going to do plastics as well when the time comes. I would like to make sure I can maintain my weight before I get them, but I am def. getting a tummy tuck and lipo on my hips/thighs and knees.

decide based on how you feel...if you feel thin enough, then maintiain that weight!
you look awesom.

I am with Denise. You have to do what makes you happy. You know where you want to be and you have worked hard to get there. You have to decide when you have hit the look that you want for yourself. As long as you are happy and healthy it does not matter what others think....unless, like some, you go too far, but then that is a "head" issue just like over eating. You look marvelous! Your working out!!! You feel great!!! Everyone is jealous including me!!

I think you should go wth your gut feeling. Originally I wanted to be on the LOWER end of my BMI but then I decided that in the middle wouldnt be bad. I think if I went for a BMI of say 19 I'd look sick so I chose the middle of the healthy range. I am 5 lbs away and think I made a good choice especially when I have my tt and my BL. I just typed in my lowest weight for the lowest healthy BMI and it would be 101 pounds, I can not imagine me at 101 pounds, but right now at 135 I am at the highest HEALTHY BMI for my height. I still want to lose a little more just in case. KWIM?
