Default The long haul

Still at 171. I did great until the very last hour. I got really hungry, I was tired, so I pulled out this chicken noodle thing from the freezer. White sauce..it had to have tons of calories.
So I went out this morning and bought papaya, apples, melon, collard greens, salad fixings. There is no excuse for me not having something at hand which is a healthier choice.
Geez, I promised to go to the gym today, didn't I?
Well I know 100% I won't finish and say I regretted it no matter how much I kick and scream on the way there.
And just 3 months ago, I was so gung ho and so entrenched in my workout routine! Scary how quickly you can revert to old behavior even after years of being on track.
That's why I have to stop this weight thing in its' tracks. I could justify myself by saying I am of normal weight and BMI, but that's one step away from denial and losingit.
I like to have a buffer so I can eat whatever I want w/o having to think about it all of the time. Of course, what I want has to be in the realm of healthy choices, but I hate monitoring cals and qtys. Don't know how some people do it.
My treat for today is to make a hair appt for a color and cut. I have all the color stuff at home, but I though it's about time for something a little nicer than a home job and Supercuts.
Onward ho. Gotta take the first step sooner or later, and sooner's better. I fully expect everyone to suffer with me today by getting off their heinies and moving.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hey Vicki...I understand what you mean by if you let yourself slip a little it is a slippery slope. I am trying really hard not to let myself off the hook with working out right now. I want to try my best to get to the gym at least three times a week minimum. I am not promising that it will happen, but if I don't make it a goal I know it won't happen.

I too am not doing well with my exercise.
I thought with summer here it would be easier getting my walking in. NOT!!!!
Everyday I plan to get on the treadmill and everynight something else is going on. I don't know..I want to lose faster and am not going to if i don't get off this butt and just get that part of my routine in before everything else.
We all should make a pact to at the end of the week and report on how we did...I could use some incentive....My Cd's are right there and my cd player awaits me.....LOL

I would to join a gym Janae, but every one down there are so...perfect.
Maybe if I could find a freind.....

Good luck to all of you in finding that one extra moment...EVEN ME!!!!!

HEY ROBBIN...
DO you have curves or ladies express gyms in your area. THERe womens gyms and i find them to be much more comfortable places for me to
work out at. I cant go to those big bally type places were people
get all pretty to work out.....these are more in my comfort zone
to go too. I just put my membership on hold being i cant
make it there so many nights during the summer months.

THESE gyms are reasonable priced too about $1 a day which isnt to bad
at all.
Well good luck

I was afraid that it would only be the beautiful people here at the base gym....but now I am fairly confident since that is not the case. Don't get me wrong we have our fair share of beautiful people...but that is okay since I plan on becoming one of them. I mean that is the goal right? oh yeah...and good health...blah blah blah...lol. I have to admit secretly that I do like the view I sometimes get at my gym....but that may be something best left alone...hehehehe....I am really surprised at how cool people have been here for the most part. Granted when I first started I was really scared and got a few weird looks...but now that they see me a good amount and yet see less of me each time...I feel like I really belong. I have become a gym rat so help me....and I love it.

I had a great experience...
At my local ladies express were i belong...
i was on a 2 month absense last year for
my surgery and recovery. I was cleared to go
back to the gym in SEPTEMBEr, of course i had
a weigh in and measurement when i came back
and the inches i had lost were amazing from when
i first joined the gym.

ANYWAY they had contest going on that month...
who can loose the most inches and lbs for the month
so figured might as well get in on this one!
HEHEHE and of course i won for the month and
got myself a gift card for $30!!!

Was too cool.....!
just wanted to share...
im glad janae your enjoying the
gym on the base for you thats awesome.

We do have curves not to far from me, and you know i never thought of that. i might pay them a visit and see what they offer.
If my son will stand up to his pledge he will go with me to the gym down below us here., that might be fun. The first time is free and they will help you understand the steps I would need to take.
Maybe like you Janae if i just go, then the more I go, the more comfortable I will get being there.
I loved your "becoming one of the beautiful people."

I need to get the courage, suck it in and just try....what do i have to loose...hehehehe. A few more pounds!!!!!! Yea................

Oh well got 20 minutes on the treadmill tonight, Added "Bon Jovi" in the cd player. Was so very hot outside...

talk again..robbin

YES maybe you should look into a curves.
I find they have the women more in my age
bracket and size so i feel so comfortable going
in there...I am for womens gyms!

GOOD LUCK and let us know if you like when you
check it out. I am on hold from my gym for summer
just to get variety in my workouts so i dont bore.

ALSO got to love compliments they keep us soaring!
