| Big Loser | Just re-read some of the posts. There are two kinds of boards: happy, nonsense, encouraging, a way to connect and keep ourselves on track. And there are those which explore this journey, good, bad and ugly. I haven't quite figured where this board lands amongst that spectrum I don't want a psychoanalysist, but I also don't want to ignore what's happening to me as I change either. Am I in the wrong place? I don't want to offend or bore to death anyone. Vicki |

Height: | I think that this board has the capability of being as manic depressive as its members. So if you are looking for a comfortable mix of that.....it will be present as long as I am a member. I agree with you that you don't want to ignore certain things. I want those investigating this surgery to be supported and hear the positives of surgery...but I don't think we do them any favors by sugar coating everything for them either. If I feel like crap I am going to tell you about it. If it scares you away from the surgery because I have issues and it isn't always happy go lucky.....well I am sorry, but maybe you aren't cut out for this surgery. There are a lot of thorns that go along with creating the rose that our bodies are trying to turn into. I am hoping to be able to get some assistance with dealing with some of the issues I didn't expect to have to deal with post op. Such is life. I think that is what you were kinda getting at....but I am not sure. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. It has been known to happen before. Janae |
